About Us

MC Sha-Rock Day is more than just a festival — it's a cultural movement dedicated to honoring the legacy of Hip Hop’s first female MC, the legendary MC Sha-Rock, while preserving the foundation of Hip Hop culture and inspiring its future.

Powered by former Councilman Andy King, produced by Tia Evette Productions, and organized by the MC Sha-Rock Day Organization, this annual celebration brings together pioneers, community leaders, and new generations for a powerful day of music, education, and unity.

Our mission is to preserve and uplift the essence of Hip Hop by bridging the gap between generations. Through live performances, engaging panels, and community-building activities, we foster dialogue about the culture’s rich history and ensure that its roots are never forgotten.

MC Sha-Rock Day leaves footprints for the future by celebrating those who paved the way and empowering the voices of tomorrow. From the streets of the Bronx to communities nationwide, we’re committed to keeping the culture alive and thriving.

Join us — honor the legacy, build the future.
